Available Course Descriptions
Vermiculture Basics (1 hour, 50 students max.)
This is a great workshop for beginners and those who have experience, alike. Learn how to set up a bin or compost pile, using worms. You'll also learn tricks to feeding, weather-proofing, breeding and much, much more!
The Squirmy Wormy World For Kids (K-6th grade, 45 minutes, 30 students max.)
A great class to incorporate science and the environment into a child's daily life. We'll cover what worms can do for us, where they live, what they eat and age appropriate anatomy. After the presentation, we will have a treasure hunt to find a cocoon, a baby worm, a "teen" worm and a mature worm hidden real worm castings! This workshop can be tailored to any elementary school age group, including 4-6 years old. It's never too early to start your kids, thinking environmentally!
Wear your play clothes, because we'll be burrowing in the dirt, next to our hard working friends, the WORMS !!!!!
